Patient Portal

In July 2013, the NIH Clinical Center implemented a secure internet-accessible patient portal. In January 2017, the NIH Clinical Center FollowMyHealth® Patient Portal was implemented and allows patients to:

  • View selected medical information from their NIH Clinical Center (CC) electronic medical record
  • Send and receive secure messages with their NIH care team
  • Obtain key information about the NIH and the CC (directions, clinical trials, etc)

AND in later phases will be able to...

  • View appointments
  • View medications

Selected medical information includes certain documents and test results. Some test results and information in CRIS may be released and made viewable to the patient. See How To Release CRIS Information to the Patient Portal PDF Logo (1.20 MB).

For more information, refer to the Patient Portal User Guide PDF Logo (3.61 MB) and Frequently Asked Questions PDF Logo (116 KB).

To speak with the Patient Portal Support Team, call 301-594-5725.
